Posted by Len Cook on 4/19/2006, 2:09 pm, in reply to "I Need a NORMAL Spiritual Teacher" I do still talk to my 'teacher' via email and we are friends. I came to realize that the only source of my questions can only come from him and myself. I do actually believe in the concept that when the student is ready the teacher will appear. Thinking of things in that light stay the course and you may find your teachers or teachers in the most unlikely of directions. Whatever you do don't let a teacher be a guardian of delusion. They can only be a guide.

In my past and somewhat in the present I have had a teacher much like what everyone would hope for. It is a long story but as time and now distance has happened the connection has waned. I've looked in many directions for a teacher that can give me deeper insight but it simply does not work. It could easily just be my ego but I don't feel like I am in the same place as many people who are seeking at the beginning and a teacher who does not grab my attention feels like a waste of my time.
Good luck.
