It had some vailidity as a show in the 80's and 70's before the end of the cold war.. I think it had relevance in the 90's too as we were slowly being introduced to our eastern European friends..
Now I can say that perhaps it's just not doing the business anymore.
Tom Hardy once said and I quote: " When music quality goes down, then the theory is that the quality of radio should improve" - What he meant is that as the songs in the charts declined in quality it was up to the jocks to improve the quality of their links to keep people coming back for more.. This applies to the eurovision too.. in a way! it's traditional now at this stage and personally I would just tune in to hear the quips Terry Wogan makes!
