I look forward to the book and indeed the Movie about Chris's life a little more although.
Irish people, and it is fair to say many Irish "media types" have one particular view of the man.
I'd like to point out that this is only one chapter in a far greater story. When this is all put together it will be the stuff that could make an awesome Movie and indeed a brilliant book.
There is a lot of politics involved however and I think that to get the facts straight and do things correctly is the best way forward.
It seems that with the TV3 programme "Bring Back Radio Nova" there is the sense of "what happened next" yet the events of all of the 80's in Irish radio could easily be made into an 8 - 16 part drama series like Ashes to Ashes or Life On Mars from a purely drama related view. From a factual perspective I think there is a lot could be reported on to follow the Nova closedown in '86, The other 2 superpirates Q and Sunshine and following on from that the '88 closedowns, legislation bills, licence applications, Satellite Nova and a whole lot more...
So perhaps this is the beginning and not the end.
What were the stats on the viewership figures for the TV3 programme I wonder?
