Yes definitely Declan Meehan. John Clark as a DJ... Not in agreement with his direction taken with running 2FM. Suppose he's following orders though. Used to love his Sunday afternoon show (2pm-5pm years ago...Rock,roll and remember?).
As for others, top of the list must be Ian Dempsey. Liked Simon Young a lot - would like to hear him back - probably more suited to Today FM nowadays.
Also:
Mark Byrne (where is he now??)
Phil Cawley
Liam Quigley (where is he too??)
George Talbot ex ERI (Ditto!)
Ray Darcy
Gerry Wilson
Mike Maloney (haven't heard him for years)
Gareth O'Callaghan (Ditto!)
And I'll get vilified for this but I reckon Mart Whelan was great... Never quite recovered from Radio Ireland and 2FM didn't give him a chance.
In the UK:
Wogan - THE Legend! - Anyone who gets away with what he gets away with is a legend!!
Johnny Walker
Chris Evans
Stuart Maconie
Jono Coleman (Believe he's back in Aus?)
I think 2FM is in totally the wrong direction. They're aiming for a youth market with DJs that are too old. They should be chasing Today FM.
