Fair play Shane...Here we all are paying respect to the Only "Man" who shaped radio in Ireland into the way it was supposed to be..but sure their is always begrudgers..That "Man" Is Chris Cary.. I don't like to think he is gone or in the past..Far from it...The mark that Chris Cary left on Ireland in respect of radio terms is irreplaceable...I never did know Chris in person, but i know those who have had the pleasure of meeting The Legend... but its like i did know Chris and i always wanted to be a NOVA jock..some chance i had at the time but sure...... I was used to listening and was hooked to The Great Northern Radio from Omeath on 234m 1298kHz at the time...it was and always will be really great radio from here in Ireland along with 265...Carousel...until the Clutter free signal from NOVA at the end of the day decided to show up on 88 FM....I was then addicted. i remember almost to the day just before NOVA arrived on the air i tought radio here was sussed...Until i heard NOVA... You or most of you will know what i mean when i say...WOW..Now thats shit hot radio i remember saying...and always will..Radio in its own way has moved on..but at the end of the day.. The man and his visions has giving us nothing but life long memories...those of which i know have provided us with the strength to carry on with our own idea's.......Chris you will always be in my heart...To Sybil and Family...i send you my deepest sympathy on the very sad and premature departure of Chris from your lives....you are in my toughts and prayers....God Bless You...And Rest In Peace Chris...A signal on 88.3 remembers you Chris....God Bless and a big thank you for the memories.....x x Tony
