Located underneath the uber-trendy ZIGFRID bar on Hoxton Square, UNDERBELLY is a club with a difference.
Dark, gritty, yet full of energy and oozing effortless charm - think David Lynch meets the Rolling Stones.
Inside, there's plenty of open space to meet, greet and boogie - a simplistic layout, made interesting by industrial details and softened by prints on the wall and relaxed lighting near the bar area. The bar itself stocks a mind boggling selection of drinks, including premium beers, wines and spirits, served by a friendly and helpful bar staff. There are various nooks and crannies to rest your feet mid-boogie. Regular club nights include the festival of electronica which is Computer Blue, the acclaimed Sunday session with Richard Nice N Excellent playing some choice electro and techno beats, the queer pop, punk rock and indy of Club Motherf*cker (Thursday) and the wildly popular night run by the Queenz of Noize (irregular Saturdays). This is clubbing for the Franz Ferdinand generation, so keep your slogans ironic, jeans tight and make sure you look good. It's not just the great club nights that pull people in though, as UNDERBELLY has got a great reputation for putting on some excellent live music events. The intimate stage area has seen performers ranging from Lemon Jelly and Lamb to the Lancaster Bombers and Dead! Dead! Dead! and the club has a good reputation for supporting home grown, underground music in London.
