The Arts Poole's July event, An Evening with Robin Dynes - Experiences in the Literary World, will take place on Thursday 2nd July, upstairs at The Blue Boar pub in Old Town Poole from 7pm until 9.30pm.
Robin Dynes, a writer and commissioning editor, will be speaking to us. He has had several books published by Speechmark and also writes novels under a female pseudonym. He will talk about his experiences in the literary world. We will also have a fun interactive writing-based exercise for you to try if you want to.
Robin will start speaking at 7.45pm for about 30 minutes. After a short break we will then do the interactive exercise. The rest of the evening will be free for you to mingle.
For a limited time we are reducing our entrance fee to £3 to help us all through the credit crunch. A big thanks to UN Ltd whose funding has given us this flexibility.
We will still be providing tea, coffee and light bites. Other drinks may be purchased from the bar. The balance of monies generated will be reinvested in future events.
We have a website detailing our events and other news about TAP and the arts in Poole: http://www.theartspoole.co.uk. We also have a Facebook group.
The Blue Boar is at 29, Market Close, Poole, Dorset, BH15 1NE next to Hill St multistorey car park.
