The Arts Poole's June event, The Great Debate, will take place on Thursday 4 June, upstairs at the Blue Boar pub in Old Town Poole from 7 pm until 9.30 pm.
We will be having a "Question Time" style debate on the state of the arts and music scene in Poole, Bournemouth and the surrounding area. A panel, including Adam Merrifield from White Lantern Film, Suzy Wheeler from Dorset Music Forum, Peter John Cooper from Strata (the Purbecks arts networking group) and a representative from the local visual arts scene, will answer your questions about the good things which are happening, challenges ahead and any other issues you want to raise. We hope this will be an entertaining debate that will help us all gauge the state of the current arts scene and throw up some interesting ideas for the future.
The Arts Poole's committee will also be briefly outline TAP's strategy for the next year and gather questions for the debate at 7.30 pm. The debate will run from 8pm to 9pm.
For a limited time we are reducing our entrance fee to £3 to help us all through the credit crunch. A big thanks to UN Ltd whose funding has given us this flexibility. We will still be providing tea, coffee and light bites. Other drinks may be purchased from the bar. The balance of monies generated will be reinvested in future events.
We have a website detailing our events & other news about TAP & the arts in Poole: http://www.theartspoole.co.uk. We also have a Facebook group. The Blue Boar is at 29, Market Close, Poole, Dorset, BH15 1NE next to Hill St multistorey car park. For a map click on http://www.streetmap.co.uk/newmap.srf?x=401042&y=90643&z=0&ar=Y
