Among the vicarious thrills & jollies, I enjoyed an illuminating voyeuristic perspective on SONi< ^RKES¬R^'s trip-and-a-half. Thank you, Richie, Amy, Rizlo, Si, Brad, Sugar-Ray & the leonine Lord Luap. Thanks also to Muddy Miles & The Deltorers for their music & assistance with backline
Somehow, I managed to shaft the recording on my 16 track; signal levels appeared so low (3 bars on a 12-bar scale) I ended-up overdriving the input gains, resulting in the kind of buzz-saw distorto-drone which makes VU's Sister Ray sound like a state-of-the-art audiophile test pressing; oddly compelling if you haven't slept for four days...
Suggest everyone brings small personal combos where poss to simplify onstage monitoring in future - there will be nine of us Sat 16th May @ The Gander
