same old, same old. Not taking anything away from Chairman and MrsP, sure the set will be great and this not personal..
But Tone, u said you wanted to attract students and is this really the best way?
Its a new night, ripe for getting a rep and literally next door to the halls of residence - so why dont they come? Could it be that this night is just ANOTHER self serving Bournemouth scene adventure, where the 30+ never were's actually get to pretend its a good night..
Bit harsh, but I thought this was supposed to be a band/DJ night? Stop people going home at 11.30 after the band? So wheres the band gone?
Students want to get drunk and have sex.. with students. All they want is a place to setup that kind of atmosphere, hopefully with banging tunes and a shit hot band.
Instead of flyering the uni to tell them what you've come up with as a good night, why not find student DJs, student bands, team up with the Students Union - the college is next door.. dont tell me that Knighton Heath that runs Music technology courses doesnt have any student bands in there..
Anyway, its another lame attempt to do something new and exciting and thats my opinion.
I've got a band if you want one for the night? Students ville, shit hot and no one knows their mates.
