The hunter rider picture you posted looks okay, however in your case, I wouldn't lean so far forward (also calling jumping ahead). If you keep your bottom closer to the saddle (but still do a proper release) you'll do fine. Also remember to keep your legs under you - instead of pinching at the knee and swinging them back - so your base of support is there. Take care, Katie

Fjords are extremely compact ponies, and apart from shrinking (which you can't do, I hope!) you'll just have to adapt your riding to the pony.
