Arabian horses in hunter classes

Hi, my name is Liz. I'm fourteen years old and am very active in show jumping. Recently I started hunter classes and have had difficulty scoring high. I know that it takes a long time to get good and start winning with a green horse but I noticed that all the horses have a lower headset then my Arab. Is it true that judges like the lower headset? Is my Arab'natural headset (which is higher) causing me to place lower in the standings?
