The only thing you can do is make sure you are healthy and in shape. Take a look at your diet- too much junk/sugar? Not enough fruit or vegetables? Start with your eating habits before anything else. My step father is a personal trainer and instead of working mostly on the muscles I use while riding I work on the ones that don't get used so I am stronger all around. If you would not go so far as to consult a personal trainer, go to a book store and find a book that has lots of different excersizes. I have one that contains over a 300 ways to work out with 5 pound weights. Yoga has also helped me a lot with my riding. It has helped me to stay focused and centered, and be very aware of where my body and the horses body is.
Basically, just stay in shape and be well rounded. I hope this has helped you out a bit,
