I was wondering if anyone could tell me what it means to ride in half seat?
The reason I'm asking is because at my last horseback riding lesson a more advanced girl was in my lesson. (The horse she was supposed to ride was lame and since she has the same instructor she joind the lesson I'm in) She was riding a horse that used to race so his normal canter is a lot faster then all the other horses normal canters and my instructor told the girl to ride in half seat, so I'm wondering what that means.
