Dear Luisa,
When trotting over ground rails practice maintining a two point position, holding mane to avoid inadvertently hitting the horse's mouth. Work to develop a steady position with heels depressed supporting your weight through your leg.
Once you are secure trotting rails ask your trainer if you may begin cantering ground rails to develop your "eye" for seeing a distance. When you are secure enough to jump anything higher, your trainer will help you further.
