I have had a pair of suede half chaps and I'm not sure of the proper way to clean them but when mine got dirty I just took a damp cloth and dabbed away the dirt. But let me warn you do NOT use paper towel or any other paper products to clean them. If the cloth doesn't work I'd call the shop you bought them from if they didn't come with instructions and ask.
