Although I can't make any good suggestions for your convincing your parents to financially back you more in your riding I can make a suggestion on how to help yourself support your riding habit. I was 11 when i first started riding and know exactly what you mean about your parents not being able to afford lessons. Since they were unable to I took it upon myself to offer many instructors in my area services like cleaning stalls, helping feed, lunging and working horses in return for lessons. Doing this helped establish for my parents that i was serious about riding and that i was responsible enough to one day care for my own. Hopefully my suggestion will help you also. Good Luck
