Posted by Hayley I've been riding for about 5 years now, and my new instructor Emily has asked me to come to her barn to ride two of her horses. One of them is a gorgeous thoroughbred mare who has just turned 3. I've never had the chance to ride a horse this green, and I was wondering if I anyone has advice for me. I know that horses when that green do things they shouldn't do, such as breaking gait, it should be corrected immediately to prevent later training issues. Are there any other important things I should know, such as common issues with horses that green and how to correct them?
