Thanks for the help. I'm doing 3 classes, equitation over fences, hunter over fences, and hunter hack. I'm taking all advice seriously, and my coach Nikki said to half halt. Last lesson he was very spooky because of the bad weather over here, and i almost feel off 3 times. For the show i don't want to do any lines with no stirrups on a horse going much too fast. My teacher says every judge is different but in my position she would half halt, in case he spooks at the show, and maybe the judges want to see me keep him at the pace i want him to be at, not the one he chooses.i'm very excited for the show, but winning isn't everything. I eventually want to take him to more shows once I've ridden him more, but I think this show will be a good experience. And thanks again for the advice,
