I bought my PBG3 in September 1998. The computer is not carried around; it is used only in one place. Both hinges failed and it is easy to see why. I'm a mechanic and can appreciate well-made mechanisms, but the material the hinges are made of is a travesty! The pot-metal that houses the spring-clips is paper thin! I'm amazed the hinges functioned as long as they did. Shotty materials in such an expensive computer is not justified!
