However, I did receive my UFO power adapter replacement. Sorry, but I like free schwag. My powerbook sits next to my 12" pc monitor, and I use them both nowadays whenever I'm sitting down here. I like redundancy. I still have to use a pen to push up on the bottom of the power plug however. THe screen, I'm sure will give out again in a year or two, despite its being "fixed" with probably the same type, material and style of hinges. Yes it's hot to type on. I think I'd like an iBook next, but that's in my next life when I have a better job than working at Fried ELectronix. K.
