Late Bloomer Smokers

I've had a number of interesting developments with regards to my wife & smoking. Essentially, it all started when we had a frank, open conversation after watching a show on TV about smoking. This was about two months ago.
She had never expressed positive views about smoking in front of me before.
She joked that watching that show "made me want a cigarette". Of course, hearing that got me *very* intrigued... now I should probably give you a bit of background.
I've always come across as anti-smoking in the past, and I do acknowledge some of the problems smoking can cause. However, my wife assumed when we first met that I didn't want to date a smoker. She did not smoke regularly but occasionally enjoyed a cigarette at a party (not inhaling), or enjoyed smoking a clove (not inhaling).
As the night progressed, we talked about other things, and eventually I asked her if she actually did want to smoke a cigarette that very night. She laughed and said she was just joking and wondered why I asked such a thing. I said I was simply curious, as I'd never imagined her smoking before (which is not true -- I'd imagined it plenty of times -- I'd just never imagined it actually could happen!)
I learned her favourite brand is Djarum Blacks; she also occasionally smoked Newports but didn't really like them, and prefers smoking cloves. She also liked Djarum Cherry.
We went to a 24-hour 7-Eleven. She assumed all they would have were normal cigarettes, and I was pretty excited about the idea of her buying some. She went to the counter herself and asked "do you have Djarums?" and ended up with a pack of Djarum specials. She hadn't tried these before, but figured, why not?
I was surprised by myself, in that while I was hoping she'd end up with a pack of regular cigarettes, I was even happier that she'd gotten the brand she wanted and would be more likely to enjoy.
We went to a 24-hour coffee shop, ordered chai lattes, and then sat outside. I watched her light up with matches, since she didn't have a lighter!
I'd never really imagined her smoking cloves, but found it actually intriguing to watch. One thing I really enjoyed was that she said she really liked the taste of the cloves -- very rich yet smooth, very tasty. She took what looked like pretty enjoyable puffs, exhaling quickly, since she chooses not to inhale cloves.
She said she didn't care about smoking and could "take it or leave it"; she assumed I didn't want her to smoke. I told her she could do whatever she wanted to and it's fine with me if she smokes on any occasion she wants to. She said she'd probably smoke once or twice a month, when she feels like it.
Since then her pack of 20 is down to 15. While she enjoys the specials, she's said she likes Djarum Blacks better, so I'll be trying to pick up some of those (if I can still find them anywhere).
When she smoked the 2nd cigarette a few weeks later, I noticed a few minutes after she'd finished it that she had another cigarette in her hand. I asked her why, and she just said, "I just feel like enjoying smoking another one." I briefly thought that a longer cigarette might be right for her!
She pretty much figured out by the time she'd finished the 4th cigarette that I like watching her smoke, but she didn't say anything. Most recently, I asked her to smoke before the night before she needed to go on a trip.
She asked me, "Do you like watching me smoke?" and I said "Yes." She told me she thought I did, and would be happy to smoke for me. While she smoked, she asked why I liked it and we had an interesting conversation about why I enjoy watching her smoke.
We also had a very positive experience when a friend of ours at a party invited us to go to a hookah bar -- she'd always wanted to try it but never had. In the past, she would have never thought I would want her to do such a thing, but she asked me if we could go and I said "Sure."
While I didn't enjoy watching her smoke a hookah as much as I do cigarettes, I did enjoy seeing how much she enjoyed the smoke -- she said the flavour was excellent and the smoke was very cool and smooth. She also inhaled! She said it's the only way to really get the full taste of the hookah smoke. After about a one-hour hookah session, we went home; I asked her how she felt and she said smoking the hookah was incredibly relaxing and she'd like to do it again sometime.
Once again, I found that what I liked the most was the thought of her really enjoying using a tobacco product, both for the taste of the flavoured tobacco and also for the relaxing effect on her of inhaling the smoke. (Catching a whiff of her hookah exhales doesn't smell bad at all, either!)
At this point, I'd like ideas on what to do next; please see my related post about suggested brands. (I do know I need to make sure I buy or she buys a box of Djarum Blacks as soon as possible -- across the border, if we have to!)
If anyone would like to chat, look me up on Yahoo as campania100. I would especially enjoy hearing from other husbands whose wives/girlfriends smoke, but just for them. My wife is someone who doesn't seem interested in smoking regularly, but just likes to do it every now and then, and mostly because she knows I enjoy watching her do it.
Thanks for reading!
