Serious question....here is the email I drafted ready to be sent to my doctor's office. I felt bad last time I was there because they always say things like .."and you don't smoke." I feel like my file should be updated to reflect that I smoke cigarettes. What does everyone think?

Hello all,
I wanted to be honest since smoking is generally confirmed at my appointments (although it's generally more of a statement - 'and you don't smoke') but after smoking an occassional cigarette here and there the addiction set in (both physical and psychological) and I am now a daily smoker and have been since April of this year. I currently smoke 4-8 cigarettes per day (although most days it's more toward 8). I didn't plan on getting to this point - where I have to smoke every few hours - and I know it isn't the smartest health decision I have made. If I one day decide to quit, it will be because I want to. Right now, I am going to keep smoking. It feels really good to smoke and really bad to go very long without a cigarette - but I guess that's the power of nicotine addiction.
