Late Bloomer Smokers

I have posted before about my gf and her on again off again smoking. Just as a refresher, when we began dating, we were both in the closet with each other and found out about 5 months in to the relationship that we both smoked. Once it was out in the open, we started to smoke together. She usually only smoked at night, generally with a drink, but from time to time, would smoke at other times. On vacations, she was smoking all day long. Back home, she was back to her normal smoking pattern. After about 6 months of this, she announced that she was quitting. I told her that I was not and she actually became a pretty vehement anti during this period, which I though was really hypocritical of her. She did not smoke for about 6 months and then we went on a short vacation. During the trip, we were sitting out on our hotel room balcony having wine when out of the blue, she reached for the pack. I asked her what she was doing and she said that she really had the urge to smoke again. She lit up and that was it, she was back! She fell back into her previous smoking pattern of nighttime smoking. She did not smoke every single night, but she probably smoked about 25 nights per month. We went on a cruise earlier this year and during the cruise, she smoked all day long, every day. It was a beautiful thing, because she really is a very sexy smoker. Once home again, she was back to the evening thing.
This past Friday, we were outside having cocktails and cigarettes. When we went back inside, she announced, once again, that she was quitting. I want to interject that I do not understand how she is able to control the habit like this. On Saturday, Sunday and Monday, she did not partake with me, even when she was drinking. As a matter of fact, she made it a point to tell me that she was never smoking again.
That brings us to last night. We are outside having cocktails. I, of course, am smoking. After I have had two cigarettes, our drinks were finished and she asked me to go inside and refresh our drinks. When I come back outside, lo and behold, she has a lit cigarette in her hand! She sheepishly grins and says that when I was inside, she kept staring at the pack and an overwhelming desire to smoke hit her. Belive it or not, she basically chain smoked TEN cigarettes and told me that she really needs them.
I can not figure her out! Can't wait to see what this evening will bring. 50/50, she will tell me she is not smoking again!
