Hello Gina, have you talked to your husband and explained why you have started to smoke? I restarted just over a year ago after a break of 18 years and was concerned by the possible reaction of my husband. I explained my reasons for starting again and the fact that I was enjoying smoking and asked him to accept it, which he has. For me personally, starting again has been a marriage saver since it has helped me to relax and cope with stress. Hope things turn out well. Melissa

: When I met my
: girlfriend(now wife) she
: was VERY anti smoking,
: to the point where out
: of respect I didn't
: smoke around her. She
: knew that I smoked but
: it was never really
: discussed & I snuck
: out for smokes when I
: could. As time went on I
: realised that it was
: going to become an issue
: so one holiday we talked
: about it & basicly
: came to the conclusion
: that even though she did
: not like it she could
: accept that it was
: something I enjoyed
: & would continue to
: do. Over time her
: tolerance grew & now
: it does not bother her
: when I smoke around her,
: & she has even
: expressed mild curiosity
: as to what it's like
: & why I smoke. While
: I don't think she will
: ever touch it the
: thought is there &
: as far as I'm concerned
: we're in a pretty good
: place with my smoking
: not being a big deal.
: Sorry to waffle, but
: just trying to say with
: time & patience your
: situation may improve.
