When I met my girlfriend(now wife) she was VERY anti smoking, to the point where out of respect I didn't smoke around her. She knew that I smoked but it was never really discussed & I snuck out for smokes when I could. As time went on I realised that it was going to become an issue so one holiday we talked about it & basicly came to the conclusion that even though she did not like it she could accept that it was something I enjoyed & would continue to do. Over time her tolerance grew & now it does not bother her when I smoke around her, & she has even expressed mild curiosity as to what it's like & why I smoke. While I don't think she will ever touch it the thought is there & as far as I'm concerned we're in a pretty good place with my smoking not being a big deal. Sorry to waffle, but just trying to say with time & patience your situation may improve.
