No matter how long we have chickens something new always manages to pop up.
Are you leaving the 100 watt on for light or warmth during the day? If its for light then turn it off before it gets too dark outside, the slowly darkening will have them going to bed when they should.
I use the red spot lights, they're not as bright as a white bulb. So, if I end up stuck like that they aren't like a beacon keeping everyone awake.
Still too cool out there for them at night. Even my fully feathered peeps have the option to climb under a light when our night time temps can creep down. Unless you can put a light out there for them I'm not sure what you can do to get them out of the house.
