Hi, I love your informative page on hatching eggs. I had my first hatch and got 5 of 18 but was shocked to even get those. The eggs were shipped from Iowa to North Carolina in a brutally cold week, the only cold week we had all winter. In addition the post office 'missplaced' them for 24 hours. Sigh.
Now I have another batch, 15 eggs looking really good. I kept the humidity at 65% and am in lockdown with the humidity up to 80%. I have read other articles saying that high humidity (65%) during the first 18 days causes the chicks to drown. What is your opinion on this?
