Been wanting to add to my guinea flock. A lady in a nearby town had some eggs available, so when one of my yard chickens went broody, I purchased some eggs. I also have a little Asil hen that is broody. Logical, so far, but this is where it gets goofy. I asked for 2 dozen eggs, but the lady presented me with 3 dozen. Stupidity kicked in and home I went with 3 dozen guinea eggs. The next stupid move was to put 18 of them under the yard broody, knowing full well that she could only cover a dozen. Then one dozen under my Asil hen, which she covers well. So there I have one hen with eggs hanging out all around and knowing full well that I messed up royally. Too late to remove some of them as I can't be sure which ones are dead, so I'll just ride it out and see if anything hatches. Somebody needs to slap me silly......P
