The one with the tractor was purely my fault ending with a black eye.
The one with the tiller was a really freaky deal. I had it in reverse, the thing sometimes doesn't want to shift in to forward so you have to bump it once or twice in reverse then it'll shift. Thing was when I released the bar to disengage the transmission it didn't and I was in a spot where I couldn't get away from it. So, it was in full speed reverse pushing me in to and over the fence where my boot got caught in the fence and I couldn't roll out of the way. Luckily either the tiller climbing the fence and having the counter weight on the ground stopped it or the transmission finally disengaged or the thing would have rolled right over me since my foot was caught. I hit the ground so hard on my back my head bounced.
Bruised and very sore for several days. I found out from the guy that does our small engines that when the belt fails it causes the tranny to stay in gear. Up to that moment the tiller was functioning without a hitch.
I put a new belt on it and made sure I wasn't trapped up against the fence when I finished up my tilling.
