My husband build a brooder box of wood with 20" sides, heat lamp, etc. We have newpaper covered with wood chips in the box as that is what they have at the Tractor Supply store where we will buy the chicks. It's in our garage workshop. It's suppose to be 24 degrees tomorrow night. Should I start them in the box in the house for a week or two until the outside temps go up or can the lamp keep them warm enough?
