Paul, is it game hens/birds that you raise? The ones that can be..uhh..cantankerous? I don't know if you remember in the fall but I had my little E.E. that went broody and I had some eggs "donated". Only one of the peeps survived the winter, but it is kind of a strange bird. I can't tell if it is a hen or roo. It is white with a couple of black feathers here and there but is getting a gold tinge all over it. It is very tall and slender and has these huge feet with long toes and long legs. The comb and waddles aren't remarkable enough as yet to lean towards hen or roo. But it is a very solitary bird and always keeps to itself. It almost sounds like a turkey when it makes noise. At night it is the very last one to come in, always! But the last few nights when putting everyone in at nights Turkey (thats what I've named it,lol) has become combative with all of the other birds except Big Bird who he won't go near. Tonight I heard a comotion and he had my poor little banty with his head down in the corner just cowering...It is very skittish and as fast as the wind. If it is the same type that you raise, wether hen or roo it won't get along with the rest will it?
