I took him to the vet. He has a respiratory disease and calcium deficiency which is making his toes deform.
They said we don't have gapeworm in mauritius (thank god!!) they prescribed antibiotics. which worked the first day with cod liver oil.
He forgot to tell me what to give him for the calcium, I thought it was the cod liver old that was prescribed for that until my sister told me its not for calcium but for the respiratory disease that it was prescribed.
So i bought powdered calcium. i sprinkled a tiny little bit on his food yesterday. and my sister told me to give it 3 days before giving him calcium again to avoid a calcium build-up in his body. The powdered calcium is strong stuff apparently....pure calcium.
The vet also mentioned he needs vitamins...but i don't know what to buy. anybody can help please?
