Just a bunch of crap (no pun intended). Pasty but has been blamed on excessive heat in the brooder, stress in shipping, etc. I've had rare instances of single individuals having pasty butt right after hatching under a hen, so those theories don't hold water for me. To cure the little buggers, I clean their butts and give them some water with a weak mixture of mollasses. No more pasty butt. Having said that, everyone has an opinion. Working where you do, I would just sell them what they want, if available. Makes for a peacefull existance. Have fun........P
