Hello Paul, We live in Roseburg Oregon, mild weather here. Why I love Nankin Bantams, We picked up a chick in Dallas, Oregon, it turned out to be a Nankin Bantam rooster. ( Nankin Bantam information: http://albc-usa.org/cpl/nankin.html) We had one Road Island Red Full Size hen. It was love at first site! Penny Penny is her name, Rooster Tooster was his name. We would go out to the coop after dark open the gate and call Rooster Tooster he would come running and follow us into the house.
