I feed the hens some meat scraps pretty often, especeally in winter when there are no bugs which are a protein scource for them. They go after meat like little dinasaurs. I ration it so they just get a little. They need to be eating the Layer Crumbles. Any veggie scraps go to them as well.
When all of you read this go to the top of the Message Board and see if you have "Hello Phil from MN" written on your page. It is almost always on mine. I don't know who is putting that there. I feel like I have a chat room stalker.
P.S. Yeah, animals are funny, Rhayden. I have a horse that will eat beef jerky when we take a break on the trail. Maybe it's the way my wife makes it. It's marinated for a day in a special sauce before dried.
