my husnad told me it is not in the USA but who knows you even been on peta's site OK before everyone groans, I was on it and there is a video MEET YOUR MEAT I warn if you got on this site it is graphic this video and it shows of cows turkeys chickens pigs and how they are killed. VERY DISTURBING VERY HARD TO WATCH, my husnad said it doesn't happen over here since there are regulations, so in every place where they slaughter there is a official watching they do things right make sure the animal has passed and then they do what the consumers want.
Don't want to step on any toes here with my next statement, do you believe in the tooth fairy to? ok rhetorical here, not all can be watch CAN THEY?? I don't advise you to go to the site and watch this UNLESS you have a strong stomach, It is guesome and Heart Breaking. This would turn someone into a veggie (vegetarian) and nothing is wrong with this if you decide this but if you truely want to know how these animal are treated this is it. I don't doubt this is how it is all over. It is supply and demand.
I love veal and yes I know how it is how the calf are treated and all yes yes yes but if I don't eat another piece of veal do you think the companies will shut down because "I" don't eat veal anymore, probaly not this is supply and demand. This is the propblem with the big compamies so many want and to supply the demand this is what they do the fastest and easiest way not the most humane way.
I don't say to anyone here they treat their animal badly, I don't mean to sound harsh here either, If I sound mean or in some way sound like I am judging I am not you can't here my tone BOY I wish sometimes people can.
No one here treats their chickens or any other animal like them companies and you treat you animals way(WAY) better.
The laws have to change but the goverment doesn't see them as living beings the see them I think as a commodity I reckon and if not human then what is there to fix.
Very sad very very sad.
