If I resided in Idaho, I would add light for warmth in the winter.
I live in southeastern Mass, near the Coast, Rehoboth, Mass, we have had some very, very,cold windy winters, but, nothing compared to Idaho.
Also, with my personality type, I would be up numerous times during the night to make sure there is no fire.
I am the type that takes the tea kettle with me, husband is not home, so I know it is not on the running stove.
