I thought the molt was to prepare for laying once more because the big companies force them to molt m... FORCE how can you force it you can't force a dog to do something or a child to do something they don't want to how can you FORCE a chicken to molt.
IF the big companies force them to molt and to lay this is cruelity right and now bare with me if I was to do the same and use a light to have them lay let's say all winter does that mean I have did cruelity to? I rather let my animals do the natrual thing and if they will lay they lay or they will breed they breed the only ones in jepordy is my rabbits but I think you can understand why the rabbits are killed we have so much room and can't buy and build cages and the cost of food to keep all the don't breed no more.
The chickens are not since we don't depend on them for food so if they don't lay it doesn't matter. I had a few rabbits I had wish I could of kept and I wept for them.
If I may, what is you favorite chicken My favorite had to be killed a conish rock Chookster.
