This message is for one sole reason - to express my joy for my hens!!! I'm a backyard bird person - have four adorable hens - who are FINALLY all four laying. We live in Gresham, OR and are currently having a battle with the city council over backyard chickens. We've been plying our neighbors with fresh eggs in hopes they won't turn us in. The problem is that the girls are so pleased with themselves before and after laying an egg (very vocal) I'm afraid someone will turn us in! I share their joy, of course, but I'[m a little nervous! We try to leave them in the coop as long as possible, but they start making noise in there too!
