Hello, I have two polish pullets, around 5 months, and one of them is sick. I've been reading up on illnesses, but thought I'd ask the more experienced. One of my girls has had swollen nostrils since I first brought her home several weeks ago. Otherwise, she has been very healthy. Then yesterday she became very lathargic, falling asleep every couple of minutes. I also noticed thick yellow fluids coming from her nose. Her poop seems fine, but she's not eating or drinking. At the advice of the breeder, she's gotten a shot of tylan 50. I've tried tempting her with scrambled eggs, but no luck. At any rate, my question is short of taking her into the university, how do I tell which respiratory infection it is? Thanks!
