I am new here and am just trying to hatch my first group of duck eggs... Handle them as little as possible, I think, but turn the eggs at least 3 times a day. I have marked an x on one side of the eggs and an 'O' on the other with a pencil so I know how much to turn them. My first duck egg started pecking this morning but has not hatched yet........ Good luck! What do you plan to do with the chickens when they hatch? I purchased starter food from the farm supply store today... and I have a heat light (red lens, 250 watt) to keep the little peeps warm.
