OK, I am a first time duck owner and have 4 Indian Runner/Mallard/Crested mix ducks. I got them as ducklings and did not know the sex. Towards the end of September, about the third/beginning of the 4th week, my only (I believe) female duck started laying eggs. I now have 18 eggs and an incubator as this little duck of mine lays and lays and lays and my daughter is not thrilled about eating the eggs or using the eggs in baking... So, I am trying to candle and I think the first of the eggs are due to hatch next week?? Also, this morning when candling, I noticed that one of the eggs looks like it is filled with clear, round little cells -- almost like clear fish eggs.. What and I seeing?
Any help on what to do as the ducks hatch would be wonderful
