I got two new hens and they have been living with my two first chickens for about a month now. They still don't seem to be able to accept the new ones and the new ones seem to just avoid them and be scared all the time. When my two origional chickens go after them they don't seem to be very violent and have not hurt them at all. They just walk up and peck the new girls and when the new ones run away they usually don't follow. Sometimes they will chase them and are bullying them so they don't sleep on the roosts. The new ones started roosting on the rim of a metal garbage can. I went in there and put them up on the roosts and removed the garbage can. Is there anything I can do to help them get along?
Will they ever accept each other? I sure hope so!
