Sadly, our roo didn't make it. We think maybe he had a snake bite or, someone suggested something called a botfly. I dunno--we tried giving him an antibiotic and it seemed to help a little for a day or two but then we got up on Saturday morning and he was breathing shallowly and not moving at all--eyes closed. So my husband very gently ended his misery. It had reached the point that it was more kind not to allow him to suffer. He said he didn't even struggle.
Interestingly enough, one of the little boys has started to crow. I am so glad your roo is doing well! Take care.
