You might also check for roost mites - they don't live on the chickens but on the underside of the roosts, in the litter and in little crevices and cracks. They come out at dark and climb on to the chickens and suck away. They are little grey creatures that turn red after they have eaten. They can be a very common (and fast) cause of feather loss. Take a flashlight out tonight and a magnifying glass and check out the underside of the roosts and you might find them as the guilty parties for the feather loss!
