I was able to borrow another incubator from a neighbor and move the 12 chicken eggs into it, though they'd been in a brooder for some time. Two pipped extensively but did not hatch, four showed no pips, and six hatched. The last chick was crippled, though I braced the legs, and fell into the waterer. The first time I was able to resuscitate and dry it, but in the morning it had gone into the water again and could not be revived. So I now have five chicks, and two dozen guinea eggs still in a 'bator. Thanks, all, and I'll keep you posted.
