raccoon attack

the other night raccoons got into the chicken run and startled our hens. (we have traps up and our guns ready now) luckily the coop was locked and the hens are alive. It scared one so badly that she slammed her head into some wire or wood and has a terrible gash over her eye. to be honest, i can't tell if she even has an eye left. there is a mound that i can't tell if it is her swollen eye lid or if she's got a pus ball. she eats and drinks and acts pretty normal despite it all. what should I do? also, we want to raise 2-3 more baby chicks come spring. how do you introduce young ones with old ones?
