All good info- thanks - Big Red is a handsome guy and has all feathers healthy and in tact. They have a good protein in their diet and all the hens are pretty as a picture but for a couple who are Big Reds favorites and tend to be a bit bare shouldered, bare backed and very round heels as my Mother used to say They are all starting to molt but they took Reds feathers (don't bother each other) at his first year and that's been it. I do have a thing of hot pick so I'll try it on him. It would be nice to see that big red and green plume again.
