Hi Dianne, I am sorry that I can't answer that because I just don't know for sure. I'd advise you to write as much detail as you can so that the people who do know can give you better information. Is this coming out through the vent, a wound, or an unhealed "belly button"? Are there any other symptoms, how old is the chick and what is it's breed? It is helpful to describe what it looks like as best you can, and in these cases put "Help!" in the subject line so that people know you need help and are not just relaying a story. I wish you and your little one lots of luck!
